Create a sense of achievement

Updated: Feb 24

Welcome to part 12 of our series on the benefits of new experiences. If you need to catch up, you can do that here.

So what exactly is a sense of achievement? It's when you feel good about yourself for what you accomplished. Did you finish a project you had been putting off? Did you finally finish that book you have been meaning to for the last few months? How about trying a new hobby? All these things give you a sense of achievement.

Don't disregard achievements no matter what size they are. Every one of them deserves their day in the sun. The reason is each one is a stepping stone to something bigger and better. Everyone's achievements will be different as well. Don't compare yours to someone else because as we all know comparison is the thief of joy. Just as everyone's journey is different, so are their achievements.

You may be asking yourself why this is important. Well, when you have a sense of accomplishment, it will give you more purpose, meaning, and direction in your life. These are all those positive emotions we want to feel to feel well emotionally. All these feelings lead you to feel happier, and who doesn't want that!

As long as we are not swayed by distractions when we set our achievement goals for the day or the week, we will be successful. Let's see what achievements we can accomplish this month!
